Due date

...and no baby yet. Spent the morning in retail therapy with my mom. It was nice thinking about when I won't be wearing maternity clothes anymore. Especially since most of them don't fit anymore anyway.

I did have a nice week with my parents. We spent lots of time walking around and playing with these two...We do have an end date. If I haven't gone into labor naturally, the baby's birth date with be 1/31/11. Now, off to watch some football and try to go into labor. Go Bears!!

Foursome

This is our last official weekend as a foursome. My parents are coming tonight to help out with the baby and watch the boys while Aaron and I are in the hospital (I'm super excited). The next time we will be company-less we will number five. I've been pretty sentimental all weekend. Thursday night I was a mess since it was the end of my last day home alone with the boys. Pregnant ladies cry at anything and given that it doesn't take much to make me weepy normally, I'm a faucet. :)

We are making the most of the weekend. It helps that it's really fantastic outside. We spent all afternoon yesterday outside and most of today. It gets pretty chilly overnight, but warms up beautifully during the day.

Friday, Byron had PJ day at school. He was so excited he had his favorite PJs and backpack on and was ready about 1/2 hr before it was time to go...
Last night Aaron and I even fit in a date night. The boys had a great time having dinner at playing games with our neighbors and their daughter, Hannah. Both the boys love Hannah. She's 9, and I'm seeing visions of a great babysitter in the future.

Helping dad prune the Crepe Mrytle's this morning...
Waylon inspecting the branches...I'm very excited to get the baby here. I'm getting pretty uncomfortable and feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER (technically 39 weeks)! I am ready to get my body back to normal. However, it's also bittersweet. It will be quite a while until we are back to a new normal with 5 family members.

Quotable quotes

Byron has been saying some pretty funny things lately, such as...

Pete, hold yourself (meaning Pete, get a hold of yourself)

My pee pee is different than Ways, mine is bigger.

Mom, I'll pay you some of the money that dad gave me if you buckle my seat belt. (We're working on getting him to buckle himself in. He can do it, he just doesn't like to.)

Way, how are you doing? I'm about ready to bust out of here. (In the car on the way to the park for a playdate).

Just listening to him has been great entertainment lately. I don't know where he gets some of this stuff.

Nursery is ready!!

Happy new year!! I hope you all had a nice New Year's weekend. We didn't really do anything, but had a good time anyway. We rented Toy Story 3 for the boys. That was a great movie, it actually made me cry. Not that it's that hard to do in the first place, but still. The weather was great, except for some rain today, so we spent most of it outside.

The party animals..
Today I took the boys to Target and got the last couple million things we needed for the baby. The nursery is now fully stocked. We have diapers, wipes, towels, washcloth's, swaddle blankets, a monitor and a noise machine. It was really fun. The boys were actually pretty good and both picked out a little toy for the baby.

Here's what the nursery looks like now (the bassinet will go in our room for the first couple weeks)...
Curtains and babies quilt made by Nana Nae
Changing station...
Supplies stocked (can't believe how small those diapers are)...The boys are handling the upcoming arrival pretty well. Byron even seems excited, while Waylon is more oblivious. Byron even offered to give Etta to the baby when he's older and doesn't need it anymore. Waylon is saying a couple of the names we have picked out. That's pretty cute. I have a feeling that Waylon will have some adjustment issues in the beginning. He hasn't had to share me too much.

I'm starting to get really excited about the baby coming too. I'm at the point now (37 weeks today) to where I have good days and bad days. It gets really tiring carrying around all this extra weight. I just can't wait to find out whether we will have a girl or boy. Now that I have everything ready to go, we'll probably be waiting for 4 more weeks. Aaron's determined that I'm going to go early, that would be great. :)
