Jeppson center

Today the boys didn't have school so we headed to the Jeppson Center and Telfair art museum.  It was pretty fun.  We recited the rules multiple times in the car before getting there.. no yelling, no running, all stay together. I forgot one very important rule for an art museum, no touching.  We had to go over that one again and again during our visit.  :)

Making notes of their favorite image
Trying on some costumes
The costumes inspired kung fu type moves
Edie liked looking at herself in the mirror and licked it at one point.
My little ionic and doric columns.
For a small museum, they have quite a few exhibits geared toward the kids.  The boys also got to make some "arty stuff".  The kids were great.  We did see the rest of the museum at warp speed.  There were some really cool lighted art that I would of loved to look at longer.  All in all the kids were great so we headed to Leopold afterwards for their reward/bribe, ice cream!

Fun times return...

It's really started to warm up here again.  We made it out on a boat to Wassaw Island for the first time since 2011 last weekend.  It was heaven.  We went with a friend, Megan, and her two munchkins.  We tried a trip with her last year but it rained.  They were calling for rain again on Saturday but we made it out for a couple hours.

Sean and Byron swimming

As you can see, the water was pretty warm.  Byron did have blue lips after playing around in the water for an hour, but he was really wet.  Edie had a great time in the tide pool and eating tons of sand (of course).

Hmmmm...bird

Went to the beach for the first time of the season today.   It was great.   Edie is scared of the waves.  The boys jumped right in despite the slightly chilly temp of the water.

I heart Savannah

We went to the St. Patty's day parade downtown yesterday morning. I felt like we were traveling.  We packed enough snacks to last at least a week and left the house at 8 am for the 10:30 am parade start.  However, everything went great!  We were able to meet up with two families and the kids had a great time hanging out with everyone.  We had 9 kids between 3 families.  I think we had every age from 8 down covered.

Watching the parade with dad.

Byron made a new friend.
I love that we live somewhere that has the 2nd biggest parade in the US.  Savannah is a cool city.

Book nook

We now have a book nook!  This explains the lack of posting lately.   I'm repainting the upstairs.
