We have been ready getting ready for Christmas.  Lots of sugar around here.  We leave on the 26th for Pete and Alicia's wedding at Mammoth Lakes in California.  We started packing yesterday.  I really really don't want to spend Christmas day packing.  We'll be staying in a condo with Aaron's parents and a friend from Chicago.  It's going to be great.  Lots of skiing and sledding with a wedding thrown in the mix.  We have been frantically trying to find all our snow gear.  I think we're pretty much set.  Byron's gloves are MIA but if that's all we have to get from the overpriced ski shop, that's not too shabby.  Especially for a bunch of low country folks who haven't worn an actual coat since our trip to Colorado last February.

The kids are so excited.  We're really looking forward to tomorrow.  We're all ready!  Thank god for Amazon.

WIPP Christmas party

We had the WIPP Christmas party in Waylon's class yesterday morning.  This is not to be confused with the Christmas program.  That is tomorrow.  Waylon had a great time, any excuse to eat a cupcake.

They also did a cute project that other family members were able to participate in.  The kids made gingerbread men who ran away (emailed) to various relatives houses (nanas and papas).  The kids absolutely loved it.  It was so cute.

Waylon's book

Waylon drew a book this morning.  It turned out pretty cute

Abominable snowman swallows Mom and Edie.  Waylon spins the snowman.
Everybody is sad.
Waylon spins the abominable snowman again.
Waylon get a shoulder ride from dad.
Abominable snowman turns good.  Mom and Edie come out of his mouth.  The End.

Byrons Christmas Program

We had Byron's Christmas program at May Howard tonight.  It was pretty cute.  The 5th grade chorus sang a couple songs and then the kindergartners did a program based on the ABC's.  Byron had a speaking part ("so she wouldn't forget").  That's the video.  We couldn't see him for the rest of the program, AT ALL.   :)  They sure sounded cute though.

Here's some random pics from the night...

The great escape

We had just been outside playing and she wasn't quite ready to come back in.  The new favorite game with the neighbor kids is hide and seek tag.  I really, really love our neighborhood.  The kids around us are great.  The boys have been having so much fun playing outside.

Edie is getting more and more independent.  She can now put on her own shoes (usually not on the right feet), climb in the car and in her carseat and do the stairs.  "I do it" is one of her most common phrases.   It also leading to the terrible twos.  She has thrown some BIG tantrums.  They are very intense, but thankfully not too long.

Messing around

In the backyard and in Lightroom.  I finally ordered a replacement charger for my camera.  It was lost...  somewhere, sometime.  Not sure where.  I downloaded lightroom (a photo editing program) a while ago. I 'm trying to figure out how to use it now.

Wipp Thanksgiving program

Waylon had his preschool Thanksgiving program this morning.  It was really cute.  He did such a good job.  The videos are a little shaky.  I blame Edie.  :)

Got a new camcorder.   I got a couple videos of backyard antics below.  It's chilly by Savannah standards today.

In Boston, still

Still in Boston.  Evidently, all our flights originated in NY.  We are scheduled to go home Thursday.  Thank goodness we are staying with some great friends.  Today we checked out the science museum.  We loved the butterfly exhibit.  The boys had so much fun identifying the different types.

Outtie!

We are getting outta here.  My parents are visiting, and they're driving us CRAZY!!  Just kidding.  Aaron has a conference in Boston and we're using it as a chance to get in a family vacation and visit some brave friends who offered to house all 5 of us.

We've been pretty busy.  October is a busy month for us with both of the boys birthdays.  We had Byron's birthday on the 4th, Waylon's on the 22nd and then the huge joint birthday party on the 20th.  We invited all of the boys from Byron's class.  It actually wasn't that crazy.  I think there were 13 kiddos, including ours.  Here's some pics!

Bouncy houses are the best

Boys with their cakes.  Byron would not smile.

New quilt from Nana Nae.  Love it.  ;)

In Aaron's spare time this month he put together a new swing set.  Caroline and Pete spent a weekend helping us.
