Signs of genius

Disclaimer:  This post contains blatant bragging.

Byron brought home a cut and paste letter A paper from school today.  I thought it was great how he signed his name (as divers jumping in the water) ...

Edie has now started wearing shoes.  It's adorable.  She has the smallest feet.

8 months

Yep, Edie is 8 months old now.  Crazy.  This year is going by so crazy fast.  She is truly a girl on the move.  She crawls all over the place and is pretty fast.  She also pulls up to standing on her own now.  Her favorite place is at the dishwasher.  She's also loud.  She has to be to be heard around here.  The volume level of our house is soo high.  She's saying da-da-da and meh-meh-meh and random syllables, though I don't think it has anything to do with Aaron and I yet.

On boy related news, they are sporting some new haircuts (as of last weekend).  They're looking pretty spiffy.  Aaron cut Waylon's hair again, but Waylon said he wanted to go to the barber next time.

Getting some love
We are still enjoying some warm weather here.  We went to the beach this Saturday at it was perfect.  The water is starting to get cooler, but it's still warm enough to swim.  No blue lips yet.

Still kickin

Despite the lack of posts, all is going really well here.  We are enjoying some unbelievable weather and getting into a routine with school for the boys.  Both are doing great.  School is now old hat for Byron and Waylon was really ready.  No tears and he's happy to go everyday so far.

Here are some pics of the fam from today and last weekend...

Moving a lot!
A cage to contain/protect Edie  Both boys had to have a turn to play.
Edie is so so so close to crawling.  Last night she pulled up to standing on the dishwasher and scooted about 10ft in her nursery. I sat her down with some toys and she scooted back behind her rocker.   I am so in trouble.

I also rearranged the boys room a bit.  Byron slept on the floor next to Waylon's crib almost every night in Colorado.  We moved their beds closer together in the hope that Byron would spend more time in his bed and less on the floor.
It also has the advantage of opening up some space for them to play in the corner of their room.  It's actually cut down on the amount of toys strewn across the house (sometimes :) ).

First day of school

Had the first day of preschool for the boys today.  Byron is in a 4 yr old class taught by one of my besties here and Waylon will be going 3 days a week.
Here they are all ready for school..

It was a short day today.  They only went for an hour and 1/2 and I stayed in the class with Waylon.  His day was more like a playdate.  Byron said his favorite thing about school was his playdate with his best bud Haku afterward.  :)

We are all settled back in Savannah now.  I'm planning a recap of our Colorado trip.  We had a great time and got to see a ton of family and friends.
