No stabilizers!! (and Edie's birthday pics)

Byron is riding without his training wheels (or stabilizers and he prefers to call them).  Woohooo!!  It's pretty big news around here.  We have tried many times before, but it hasn't stuck.  He has shown almost zero interest in riding his bike lately.  When I asked him what he would do when all his friends wanted to go for a ride he told me he would just skateboard.  But, after a couple times practicing, he got it!!  We went for a bike ride round the hood last night and it was really great.  I LOVE riding.

We are supposedly getting some snow here tonight.  People are freaking out!!  It is so hilarious.  There's almost a party/post apocalyptic atmosphere round here.  The store was nuts this morning and they called yesterday to tell us that school got out 90 minutes early today and is cancelled tomorrow.  Wimps.

Here are some pics from Edie's birthday.  We had a great time.  We had her party at a park on the island.  It was a little chilly, but didn't seem to bother the little ones at all.  We got her a bike.  She loves being outside, so it was kind of a no brainer.  She's been tooling around and fell twice so far.  No major damage to her or the bike though.  :)
