Bruiser

Edie's lip had a run in with the side of the tub last night.  She's sporting a pretty serious fat lip.  It doesn't seem to be bothering her.  She got two popsicles last night and loved them.

Motivation

One of my friends had a really really horrible day yesterday.  Nothing really really bad happened, but parenting was not much fun on that day.  I definitely have those days too.  I love staying home with the kids, but sometimes it can be really hard.  Another (Chicago) friend, Kate, linked to this article on her blog, Are We There Yet?  I don't usually do that, but reading this article really made me feel good and sane at the same time.  Two things that I NEVER feel.  :)  Happy Friday!

Naptime

Laughs

This guy has been saying destruction instead of instructions lately.  As in, "I need to follow the destructions" or "the destructions say".   Always makes me laugh

"Why you mad at daddy at airport?"  The last time we flew was in October.

 

Just love that toothy grin.  She's at the stage where she just cracks up if you laugh at her.  

Sleepyheads

Waylon has been starting to give up his naps.  He only naps about 2 times a week  now and usually ends up sleeping somewhere near his door.  I think he sleeps on the floor more than in his bed at this point.  However, on the plus side he is sleeping in more now.  I actually had to wake the kids up at 7:45 the other day to get ready for school.   I LOVED it.  I have been getting in some epic nights of sleep.  HEAVEN!

Edie continues to be a great sleeper.  She is a bonafide thumb sucker now too.  Anytime her blankie or doggie get within eyesight she sticks her thumb in her mouth.  Too cute.  She continues to really resemble Byron both in looks and temperament.  Although, she really does not like loud noises including my hair dryer and the vacuum.
