That's the text on the wall hanging my mom made (quilted) for Edie. It's really great. Her nursery now looks complete...
Edie helped make sure it was straight in the foreground there. Close up...

Enjoying a snooze in her new digs (she's found her thumb while napping, heaven!!)...
We had a rainy afternoon, so I finally had time to hang it. :) The boys were actually playing well together...

Crazy town
It has been pretty nuts around here lately. Aaron is studying like mad and this past week was Byron's spring break. We had a great time. It's been gorgeous outside so we spent the week outside....in a haze of exhaustion.
The boys have had a harder and harder time sleeping so we decided to move Waylon back into the (Edie's) crib and have been cracking down on the boys with everything related to bedtime/sleeping. Poor Edie is slumming it in the pack and play now. Waylon is doing really really well. Aaron and I think he just regressed after Edie was born (he really hasn't consistently slept through the night since January). We did get a crib tent too, since he's a little monkey now and can climb most anything. Tadaa...
The first night we got the tent, the boys broke the zipper. So, we had to deal with that a night or two before we could get it replaced. It's now working great, but Byron decided he needed more attention and has been up tons. He's even climbed into the crib/tent with Waylon. Twice! I think he's getting better, but he still is getting up,although less now. Tonight, we put them to bed at 7:40,it's now 8:20 and all is quiet. Not too shabby.
Of course, since it was spring break and we didn't really have anything to do, we decided to start potty training with all our extra spare time. Waylon actually decided. We were at Target the Thrusday before break and he HAD to get some big boy undies. I have been avoiding potty training. I was very very scared. But, I figured it was either now or wait until summer. So, now it was.
He's doing really well. Especially with #1. We're working on #2.
Having 3 children has been really great, and it's really gone more smoothly than I thought it would. Except for this week. This week has kicked my butt.
Aaron performed his summer hair cut procedure on both the boys. Here's some before and afters.
Edie is just 3days shy of her 3 month birthday. She's so much fun. Her smiles are amazing, but she's shy in front of the camera. Here's some cute pics anyway.
Demonstrating her impressive head control...
Playing with the boys (she loved Byron's pants)...The one really really good (and adorable) sleeper in the house...
Whew!

and they sleep
We have re-instituted quiet time. Byron falls asleep on the couch about 50% of the time. He stopped napping this last summer, but obviously still needs some afternoon z's now and then.
Waylon has skipped the odd nap now and again. Lately, he likes napping in our room. This day he stood at the door and screamed for 1/2 hr or so before passing out on the floor.
Edie has started sleeping in the crib. She kept scooting over to the side of her bassinet and getting smushed against the side. We're still swaddling. We might stop once she's a teenager.:)
Disclaimer: These pics were all taken on separate days. Rarely do they all nap at the same time. When they do, I feel like supermom (and then immediately fall asleep).

My favorite book ever
Pride and Prejudice,nope...Grapes of Wrath,nope...War and Peace, nope...This is by far my favorite book...
It gives me hope. We have had some serious sleeping issues since Edie was born. Not with Edie, but with Waylon. We moved Waylon to a big boy bed a couple months before Edie was born. It was a pretty easy transition at the time. However, since Edie has been born, Waylon has started getting up time and time again. He does this both at bedtime and in the middle of the night. He's slept through the night about the same number of times that Edie has. It's been very exhausting. So, I pulled out the book again. We're going to try some things in the next couple weeks including out and out bribes. If he manages to sleep continuously through the night,he gets to pick something out of the goody jar. If they don't work,Waylon may be going back to the crib.
Edie update...
She's doing well. Just growing and over all sniffles and coughs for now. She is really really trying to suck on her thumb and now sucks on her tongue from time to time. It's pretty funny. She continues her reign as a very easy baby with the exception of in the car. She passionately hates the car, especially while in the car pool lane at Byron's school. Then, she just cries and cries. Here's some cute pics...
